In a remarkable show of impact and consistency, The Optiven Foundation has once again been crowned the “Education for All Champion” at the ESG Awards 2025. This marks the second consecutive year the charitable organization has received this recognition, cementing its position as a champion in advancing education opportunities across the country.
The Optiven Foundation’s approach to education through their Education and Job Readiness pillar is holistic and far reaching focusing on scholarship programs, developing school infrastructure and career mentorship. Through their flagship program Soaring Eagles Scholarship Program (SESP), the institution provides financial assistance including fees, school books, uniform and upkeep money ensuring that the students not only access education but also are also comfortable in school.
Dr. George Wachiuri, Chairman and Trustee of the Optiven Foundation, has been vocal on ESG frameworks adaptation within organisations to address global challenges recently earning him the Legacy for Impact Award at Warrior for Good Awards. He emphasized the recognition is a shared victory and reflects on the collective efforts of everyone involved in the journey to transforming lives through education.
ESG Awards acknowledge organisations that demonstrate excellence in Environmental, Social and Governance and the Education for All Champion category highlights contributions to expand access in quality education to underserved communities. This achievement celebrates past achievements and also inspires us to further bridge the education gap.
