In its continued mission to transform lives through education, the Optiven Foundation has donated Ksh. 100,000 towards the construction of a library at Itumbe SDA Mixed School in Nyamira County. The library project is being implemented in partnership with the Great Development Association (GEA), a community focused initiative dedicated to advancing education, health, and agricultural programs.

The new library will provide students at Itumbe SDA Mixed School with access to essential learning resources, promoting literacy and academic success. Adding on the Ksh. 100,000, Dr. George Wachiuri, Author and Chairman of the Optiven Foundation, donated a collection of books to kick start the library’s collection.

“On behalf of GEA, we want to appreciate the efforts of the Optiven Foundation in helping build this project,” said Joseph Mochorwa, highlighting the importance of the partnership in uplifting the community.

Ann Nyaga in her capacity as the Optiven Foundation Coordinator, emphasized the soft arm being eyes in the community and invited more partnerships from individuals and organisations. The Optiven Foundation continues to demonstrate its dedication in enabling sustainable growth in communities and this latest donation aligns with the mission to empower youth through improved access to quality learning opportunities.
