As the new dawn of December descended on the world, the Optiven Foundation was at the Nairobi West Prison and Kamiti prisons. The visit coincided with the World AIDS Day and it was special as the prisoners and warders were bestowed with sanitary items to help make their stay comfortable.

The international observation was under the theme EQUALIZE that focusses attention on the need to offer equal support including to those living behind the bars. For Optiven Foundation, the visit was in line with the pillars that cover health and poverty eradication.

Apart from offering psycho social support the Optiven Foundation team also donated hygiene items. Previously, the Optiven Foundation has been able to empower prison communities at the Lang’ata Women’s prison, the Kamiti Maximum Prison as well as the children’s homes in each of the prison.

To this end we welcome you too to partner with the Optiven Foundation and join our initiatives to benefit various communities as we transform the lives of the needy in our society.
